Man, I'm gonna get PES 2009!
Officially licensed by UEFA, and the graphics look nice too! Gonna boycott EA's FIFA 09 for not improving the PC version of the game.

Chinese Democracy coming out?
It is said that Guns n Roses' Chinese Democracy is finally coming out in November (the date given on their official site is the 23rd of Nov) after spending more than a decade (14 years, to be exact) in production. Could it be true this time round? Even certain radio stations in The US are playing one of the songs already. I'm not being sceptical about the release, but I hope it really happens this time, and the album had better match the anticipation that comes with it.Monday, October 20, 2008
Ibanez JS20S
Joe Satriani signature guitar. I must say I'm very impressed. Everything follows the specs of JS' guitar, with the album art of Surfing with the Alien as the guitar art. NO, it's never stated that after you get the guitar, you will play exactly like Joe Satch. Not the kind of guitar that I will buy... Yet. I want an acoustic guitar and a Les Paul!

Manchester United 4 West Brom 0
Rooney, Ronaldo, Berbatov and Nani turned on their style and gave West Brom one heck of a bashing.
Insomnia
I hate it when this happens. I know I have to wake up early in the morning. I AM sleepy (since 11 o' clock, now still feeling sleepy), which is a good thing. But when I went to bed and tried to sleep, I ended up lying down like a sucker for more than two hours and still wide awake. Random thoughts started to run in my mind, as if my brain is a football field, making me sleepless the entire night. Someone please spare me the agony. And suddenly I remember that there's cough syrup downstairs. It's like I got help from the Man Himself. A replacement for sleeping pills, anyone?

1994
Roland Ratzenberger:
He was so desperate to race in F1, and finally his wish was fulfilled in '94.
Sadly, he only started and finished one race. He didn't qualify for the first race of the season, finished 11th in the second race, but passed away after a crash during the qualifying session at Imola.Ayrton Senna:
Probably one of the greatest drivers to have driven an F1 car.
3 championship titles under his name, and probably more to come.
Until an accident ended his career and his life abruptly, and changed the sport entirely.Rubens Barrichello - miraculous survival:

It was a horrible crash during practice. And somehow he managed to survive, which is a miracle. But the memory of Imola '94 will never stop haunting him.Andrés Escobar.
One of the most respected Colombian footballers.
His last goal in football: an own goal which he didn't deserve, and knocked Colombia out of the 1994 World Cup. Ten days later, he was shot dead, as a "punishment" for that own goal.Wednesday, October 15, 2008

I think I'm a sceptic too
One day we were having a conversation and somehow that topic (about relationships) was mentioned. We had some exchanging of views there, and he sounded as if he has lost hope on girls/women/the opposite sex. So, I tried to find out more about what's going on. While he insisted that he's still attracted to ladies (especially the pretty ones. I believe that's true, lol), he told me that relationships are not meant for him. I jokingly said, "You must be crazy! You're only twenty and it's not like you have many relationships before this. You should get your brain checked. Hahaha..." He wasn't amused with that statement, seriously, by the looks of his face. But he responded calmly by asking me what couples usually do.
(J - me, S - the guy)
J : Well, they spend a lotta time together. Talking. Watch movies, go shopping, buy each other lunch, do what each other likes to do. SMS each other, see each other on MSN and have a video chat. Argue sometimes? (Yes, a mediocre answer it is, because I don't really know what they do.)
S : Talking, eh? About what?
J : Hmmm... I don't know 'coz I haven't been in one. From what I see it's something like "How's your day?", "I miss you.", "I miss you more.", "I feel terrible today.", "Cheer up okay.", "I love you, and I know you're gonna say you love me even more."?
S : So, do you say those to your friends or best friends or family members?
J : Yeah, sometimes... but most of the time it's a "Hell no!"
S : That's the point. I know you'd never say those to me, you bugger. It's like the status of being friends with the girl has totally diminished once you're in a relationship, only for that status to be replaced by something that surpasses your relationship with your family and friends.
The last sentence really struck me. I think he got a point there, although I don't fully understand it. I know this guy is never a conformist, but he still compromises his beliefs at times if he had to, so he can learn something out of it. When it comes to relationships, he's unusually sceptical though. He's not afraid to commit to anything, but he has doubts about how long a relationship will last if he gets into one.

One thing he brought up was about compatibility (not the Windows XP/Vista/Mac compatibility issues okay...). It's hardly possible to find someone that suits us perfectly. But the searching has to begin somewhere. Let's say we apply the "opposites attract rule". He doesn't talk much and doesn't reveal too much about himself unless he's really comfortable with people. Find him someone talkative. Bad idea. He thinks they are annoying.
And he's not the kind of guy who will take the initiative to approach people, which explains why he doesn't know many girls. Get him somebody more outgoing. He thinks outgoing girls won't go for a nobody and they are troublesome.
He likes music a lot and loves sports. Find a girl who shares the same interests. He says it's hard to find girls like that, without even trying.
Okay, fine. I asked him to go and become a:
Priest. We need some handsome and young priests in the church. Haha. Of course that's not him. He laughed at the idea, and joked, "Why not? The priesthood could use a Father who plays trash metal!"He later added that he would like to be in a relationship, it's just that there are so many imperfections that bugs him. He doesn't like somebody watching him all day, he wants a lot of freedom - to do anything he wants to do, see anybody he feels like seeing. If he's able to set those things aside, probably he'd be in one already. God bless him. And bless me too, for after all those talking, I think I became confused about all these relationship stuff also. Singlehood is cool enough for me.
Who "S" is? Not gonna tell due to privacy concerns and he wish to remain anonymous, but I think you know this guy very well.

Actually I've got something to blog about, but I'll leave it for another day. Procrastination is NOT the thief of time when you have 15 months of holidays. Even retirees are not as free as I am.
