Went lepak-ing again today. Of course, the kinda response my parents gave me was the typical response towards someone who goes out way too often and isn't giving much help at home. "Goin' out again..." This afternoon was actually the first time I met Jared after so so long... We were secondary schoolmates and since our SPM, we never really got to see each other. He later went to HELP while I was left here in Ipoh for Form Six. And there you go, a nice reunion. The other guy who came with us is of course the ever...err..whatever Chen ZooV. =)

It all started with Jared giving me a lift from my house (thanks dude...) and there's no point elaborating about the journey though.... and then there we were, at the Ipoh Parade parking lots. Something went awfully wrong about the mirror on the driver's side and it couldn't be wound up. I thought Jared @ Keanu @ Neo can just play with his mind and the window will close. Too bad. He tried too hard to get it fixed. I should have taken his photo to show you his exact expression when he tried to pull the window up. No good. So I saw that there was a vacant parking lot just next to a wall, and suggested that he park his car right next to the wall, so close to the wall till no ant can pass through the gap between the car and the wall (of course, this required lots of skill). Good idea, heh? So he started his engine, and there came the miracle. The motors worked again -.-" "I think the car merajuk coz wanna move it away from the parking spot..." was Jared's response while both of us broke out in laughter. The first thing after that I went and took a picture of Sam Tet school.
The aerial view of my school. This is where I spent my last seven years studying....

Okay...the naughty window made us late. So we found ZooV crying (Awww....) in Popular bookstore so we took him to Kopitiam Junction for lunch. Then we started cam-gigolo-ing...
Hey! Who's that guy with the Rubik cube? Isn't he the leng chai van driver who's still single?? I want his autograph!!
I'm the master of the Rubiks and I'll make you eat one if you can beat my record...muahahaha!
The stalker. "Oh yes, I once followed her after she walked out the school-gates...Errrr...Did I?" You can actually see the aura around him...=P He looks like the Joker...
Okay these were the girls that ZooV was paying attention to...
Wait! Rewind that (*Neo did his stuff...)! He's not looking at the girls...this was the guy he was looking at!
"This is the only way I can gain weight...and this is...yum...burp...good...I'm not gonna be the worst built, so I don't need to belanja makan when I meet my friends again in 2 months time..Hahaha!"

During lunch, we talked about our past experiences in school. Those things were funny...We talked about our random experiences these two years also.Nowadays, we just can't help but to admit that in a way or two, we've grown out of what we used to be in school last time. Then again, it's those things that we shared in the past that made us who we are now. Growing up is hard. We are just some emos trying to be relevant in this society. So far so good, I guess?

Later we paid John a visit. Where else other than Gladsounds? Seriously I wasn't comfortable at all in there, but who cares?
Secondary school buddies...

Spent some time with John while he had his lunch. Then, Jared and I walked around while ZooV browsed the books in Gladsounds. Then Addie called say wanna lepak also...so gotta bid adieu to Jared and ZooV.

Then ended up in Woolley and met up with Sara and Addie. Had a drink...chit-chat...and haha...nothing much. So just taruh anything I've got there only...

So...another day gone, and my money also gone...-.-"

"And I'll do anythin' you ever dreamed to be complete,
Little pieces of nothin' that fall.
Oh May, put your hands around me,
what you feel is what you are,
and what you are is beautiful.
Oh May, do you wanna GET MARRIED or RUN AWAY?"

Haha. I just can't stop strumming my guitar and sing this few lines. Cool man. And the last line is a funny question. XD

Take this test!
That means you are able to draw on the strengths of both the right and left hemispheres of your brain, depending upon a given situation.

When you need to explain a complicated process to someone, or plan a detailed vacation, the left hemisphere of your brain, which is responsible for your ability to solve problems logically, might kick in. But if you were critiquing an art opening or coming up with an original way to file papers, the right side of your brain, which is responsible for noticing subtle details in things, might take over.

While many people have clearly dominant left- or right-brained tendencies, you are able to draw on skills from both hemispheres of your brain. This rare combination makes you a very creative and flexible thinker.

The down side to being balanced-brained is that you may sometimes feel paralyzed by indecision when the two hemispheres of your brain are competing to solve a problem in their own unique ways.

Went out yesterday. And it was the three of us again: Jas, Jyao and Sam. Jas was supposed to look for a job. Haha. Guess the jobs in Ipoh Parade are not suitable for him. We spent our time walking without direction. Of course, most of our time were spent eating. First, Jyao had his lunch at Kopitiam Junction, the place I dreaded because I had some bad experience with the drinks there. So we talked about what we're gonna study of this. Jas is gonna do pharmacy. Jyao's gonna do ACCA, probably in March. Me? Haha. Probably pharmacy also, but I've no idea where I wanna go. IMU? UCSI? Singapore? Actually I'm considering the MPharm programme, a 2+2 programme, in which the final two years will be done in Scotland. The course starts in January though. But everyone has a bad impression about IMU. So, I don't know LAH.

Then we just walked around and ended up in Sushi King. Had some of those Jap stuff and green tea (duh...). It was 4.45pm and I'm supposed to play tennis at 5. So, gotta leave... and thanks for the lift man =)

Reached home around 5.05 and left at 5.10 for tennis. The weather was terrible. We're just stroking and then we talked about our day during a break. After listening to my lepak-ing story, she suggested I go for karaoke. For a moment I couldn't stop laughing, even when I'm hitting the ball XD Try imagine that. Jas, Jyao and me, karaoke?? Oh no...

Yesterday I got to sleep before 12 (I fell asleep to Goo Goo Dolls hehe), which is a good thing, but my bro woke me up when he turned on the lights 2 in the morning and fed his hamsters. Glad that I went back to sleep soon after that, if not someone will get screwed definitely. Then this morning his alarm woke me up again. He's supposed to go for an X-ray for the condition of his teeth. So when he didn't crawl out of bed immediately, came my parents to wake him up. All the noise. Wth. For once when I thought I can have a good sleep, it was so interrupted. Aih.

The only thing that can keep my mind occupied is Rockahol. It helps me sleep too, which is a brilliant thing. Sort of.

Couldn't sleep again. And this is bad.

Goo Goo Dolls - Here Is Gone

I'm a hardcore Goos fan. LOL. Here is one nice song.

2/22/2008
2030 : Went out with Addie and Ah Liang to have dinner in stadium.
2130 : Went to Ah Liang's place while waiting for Kian Hin. Watched Mad Detective. Addie was bengang after watching the show LOL.
2320 : Location - Kopitiam Ipoh Garden east. Ate something before going to the movies.
2345 : Arrived at TGV Kinta City after rushing like mad-arses. We thought we were just in time for the show (CJ7), but the show started late due to technical difficulties I guess. Made us feel like complete jerks because of the rush. We could've finished the popcorn before the show started man...

2/23/2008
0145 : Show ended. The verdict? The chick is hot. XD But someone bengang lagi =P Went for supper.
0240: Location - Ah Liang's place. Time to sleep! Yay. "Not quite yet. Cards! Chor dai dee...." Okay, so popped a can of beer and started our card game...
0240 to 0445 : Went to the loo for "hundreds" of times...
0445 : Ah Liang had to sleep. I have a headache, needed sleep. Addie, K Hin and myself ended up at Addie's place. Winning Eleven again. I got to lie down for awhile and my headache was "better". Initially wanted to sleep but then the sound of the game kept my adrenaline pumping. Ended up playing two matches also.
0730 : Time to wake Ah Liang up for breakfast. "You guys look like dead dogs..." Haha. Went for a meal in old town at the Hakka mee place. Yum.
0900 : Reached home. Bedtime!!!
1200 : Woke up... Maybe gonna go to sleep again later.

Friday, February 22, 2008

Well ZooV kept to his promise. Haha. He came to my house to 'rock' just now. Played with our guitars and watched a Goo Goo Dolls concert DVD. Then he gave me some new songs also, and I gave him some of mine. Yay. Now I've got new songs to listen to. =) Pirates...

Going out for a midnight movie tonight with Ah Liang, Addie and Kian Hin later...and gonna stay at Ah Liang's place too. Suddenly so many things to do. Gotta complete my part 2 and most importantly gotta organize my school certificates and prepare for whatever applications in the coming weeks. Have to remind myself about burning some songs for Jas. Tomorrow I'm expecting a guest at home. Monday got Tennis. Then probably results coming out also next week. I probably have to do something about the Starr foundation thingy, or I'll get screwed, or start making excuses...blaa blaa...This is...WONDERFUL. At least it keeps me moving. But the problem is, I'm having trouble sleeping. Wow.

And yesterday? Went out to have a drink with Aunty Lindy (it's her birthday, yay!), Ah Liang, Addie and Heng Fai. Well it was very very tiring after that, I've to admit. After reaching home, I drank a cup of Milo and washed my face, then went to bed...but unfortunately, I only fell asleep around 3am. It sucks man. Being tired but not able to fall asleep? C'mon. That's bad.

Thursday, February 21, 2008

Oh no...I just remembered that I need to prepare some documents...and it's urgent!!

Wednesday, February 20, 2008

Went to Jusco with Jas and JYao today. Actually we're supposed to go out last Friday, somehow got it delayed till today. Man, it's tiring. Mainly because I didn't get enough sleep last night, I struggled on bed (again...) and finally fell asleep around 3. And I woke up before 9am, which is relatively early to me.

So...blaa blaa and I reached Jusco around 11.20am. And what we did was the normal stuff, but most of our cash was spent on food. We started with breakfast at the new place next to Guardian. The food was gross..actually it was okay. But somehow it felt gross. *No pictures for this outing. Lazy to get my camera work.*

Then we watched the Kung Fu Dunk. Not my type of movie. Again it's okay, but felt gross to me. Jay Chou fans would probably like it a thousand times better than I do...and they would be cursing me when they see this. And there's this girl in front of me who was over-enthusiastic about the show. She even swung her hands around imitating Jay's moves. -.-" Sweat man, really... There goes our 6 bucks, and we didn't get to watch Jumper. Nevermind. Then never got to meet up with Addie also. Sorry man...

Then we wanted to have our meal at the First Mapo behind Jusco. So we walked there. Found out the shop was closed. Damn sad. So ended up eating in some Kim Gary/Kopitiam copycat. The rice was "hard like rock" according to Jas. "Never eat here again," said Jyao. Haha. Too bad.

Walked back to Jusco after eating. Went into MPH for awhile. Looked at some mags. Decided to eat something at Secret Recipe. Finally, something glorious for our taste buds: cheese cakes and chocolate fudge. Yummy. We got to continue what we were talking about at Sim Gary (the copycat cafe). This time no politics, of course. We were talking and talking and talking. This is totally better (way better!!) than the last time this trio went out together. The last time was November 06. Wait we just had something like this on New Year's Eve. Hehe. Now only I remember. Minus that. In November 06 only the three of us went out and we ended up running out of topics....It was boring man (not really that bad, but you know, didn't get to talk as much that time coz the three of us were blur people).

The whole day, I met lotsa schoolmates and other friends. Kheat was surprised to see me and first the he played with my hair.... huh??? Jas said, "You know people everywhere...". Sort of, but I've never talked to some of them before also. And the funniest response by another friend when I told her about my "outing" was the one regarding 24/7 friends: I know everyone on the streets and can go out with anyone anytime. Wth... -.-"

Okay, back to my day in Jusco. After sitting for countless minutes, Jas could no longer stand sitting there, so he decided to try out the acoustic guitars in the Music Shop and both of us followed. Man, he's good. Haha. Everytime I see him play like that I'm motivated to practice my guitar. We let him play too long and we skipped dinner. Anyway, it was cool. Saved us some cash. Haha. Finally, we went home at 7pm.

After taking my bath, I spent time practising my classical guitar till 10pm then only I had my dinner. Just now I didn't wash my plate after eating and left it on the table. Now it's infested with ants. Wargh...!!

Tuesday, February 19, 2008

Envisaging world peace seemed so impossible. Everything is messy. But we can always hope. Hope is not just a word. It keeps us breathing, walking, running, etc... Then again, what is HOPE?

Spent my afternoon 'ps2'-ing...

I looked at the games I have at home, and all the titles were so wrong, except Winning Eleven and some racing games. After 'trashing' some weakened teams on Winning Eleven, wanted to try something else. And guess what, I settled with Franklin: A Birthday Surprise, a game probably meant for kids 3 and above. LOL. It sucked. My mom fell asleep watching me play that game. I almost fell asleep too on my couch...
Amusing huh? I'm such a retard.

After awhile I could no longer tolerate such nonsense, and played Gran Turismo 4 instead. I was lazy, so I used the B-spec mode to complete some races. If not I would've been sitting in front of the TV like a complete nutter because the actual duration of an endurance race is close to two hours. Sweat -.-"
Adjust the settings, leave the console on and win races. Look at other cars. They're no match for my Toyota Race Car. At the end of the race, the 2nd placed driver had been lapped by my car for at least 10 times. Again, I'm such a retard. LOL.

Sunday, February 17, 2008

I said I wanna stay away from my blog for only a week, but then I just couldn't. Haha. Good news for Manchester United as they trashed Arsenal 4 - 0 in their FA Cup meet on Saturday. Manchester United basically dominated the match. Just take a look at the stats:

Match Stats

Man Utd Arsenal
Shots (on Goal) 21(12) 4(1)
Fouls 17 12
Corner Kicks 6 0
Offsides 5 1
Time of Possession 56% 44%
Yellow Cards 3 3
Red Cards 0 1
Saves 1 1

Heck. This is crazy. Manchester United rested the sensational Cristiano Ronaldo while Arsene Wenger only put on Adebayor as a substitute on the 71st minute, so that these key players get enough rest ahead of their crucial Champions League matches next week. 3 minutes after Adebayor's introduction, the score is already 4 - 0 and Arsenal was already down with 10 men by then with Eboue being sent off on the 49th for a clumsy challenge on Evra, leaving them with a super steep mountain to climb. In the end, Arsenal left Old Trafford empty handed. Final score, 4-0, with Darren Fletcher scoring one goal each on both halves, and a goal each from Rooney and Nani. A nice performance by Man Utd and special acknowledgment to Darren Fletcher for his contribution in this match. Glory glory Man Utd.

Elsewhere at Anfield, Liverpool tumbled to an embarrassing 2-1 defeat to Championship hopefuls, Barnsley with an injury time goal from team captain Brian Howard. With that defeat, Rafael Benitez is plunged into a deeper dilemma, his credibility in handling the club became more questionable. Someone save him.

Music is like glucose,
can't live without it.
Hehe.
Somehow I said this while chatting with Jared.
A fresh description huh?

Love is in the ERR

I know I always fail (can be replaced with FALL, but in this context only the word FAIL is suitable....XD) in love, for not putting in effort, or freak out half-way and hold back for no reason. But then what can I do? Too much obstacles. Emotional obstacles. One day...one day, I'll find her, I guess.

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day!

Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Yep, I'm fine. After this week, I think I will take a one-week break from the blogosphere. Even a blogger needs a "vacation" right. "Vacation" spot? I dunno. Anywhere away from the virtual world would be fine. LOL. Cheers everyone.

Went for my standard six class reunion at Madam Koh's place yesterday. But not many of us were there if compared to the last few years. I don't have the photos of the gathering, so maybe gotta ask someone else for it. Before going to her place, I went for futsal at 3pm and then after reaching home for awhile, rushed to Jusco with Addie to get some stuff. After the visitation, went to Addie's place and stayed overnight there. Like always, we played Winning Eleven till very late....and I actually lost all the matches. Bengang man... At first thought of not sleeping, but in the end I gave in because I had a headache... Didn't get to talk much also, which I think is the ultimate reason Addie asked me to go to his place. Haha. =P Now I feel damn sleepy....

1 MU vs MC 2

Manchester United lost to Manchester City by 2 goals to 1 in a premier league match which commemorates 50 years of the Munich Air Disaster. This is a disaster too, coz Man Utd had dropped 5 points from the last two matches. Sigh. They all better buck up in the remaining matches in this campaign...

My primary school teacher

The physical changes throughout the years are quite obvious when these two photos are compared, but one thing never change: she's the most dedicated teacher that has ever taught me.

Today, finally went and met with my first primary school teacher, Miss Foong, for the first time in eight years. She was the one who helped me with my basics, and I'm really grateful to have a teacher like her. A banana during the first day of school, she's the person who taught me mandarin in the first place. Then I can see myself going up the ranks in my studies. Later, she taught me chinese calligraphy also. Hehe. But she's gonna whack me now if she sees my writing now. =P My dad was there also, so we kinda talked a lot, trying to catch up with what's been happening all these years. Apparently she's unhappy with her current school so she talked a lot about that, haha I don't know what to say so just nodded my head only. Me and my dad was there for almost two hours. By the way, she has shifted, so this is a different house from where I used to practise chinese calligraphy during school holidays in primary school. LOL. She is having a kid around the house too. =) Gonna post the photos later, lazy to reach for my camera now...haven't got the photos uploaded.

Just now my relatives came over to my place...and I teased my lil' bro about a 'ring'. He actually pulled a tantrum after that... Funny...In front of my relatives some more...what lar...

Classical guitar: So hard to play...

Jas ask me to practise using my classical guitar more, coz the sound that my squier produces is bad...

Pseudo emotism

What the heck...

哈哈...
笑到十分勉强...

3rd day of CNY

Slept late, woke up late. Visited Ah Liang with Addie and Kian Hin. Auntie said no shandy, haha, terpaksa settle with Carlsberg: The Drink for man kononnya. After rounds and rounds of poker, we had lunch. Actually we're supposed to visit Aunty Lindy after that, but I've promised to meet up with Keech and two other former classmates. Therefore, I ended up in Pizza Hut in Kinta City.
I couldn't spell their names correctly so I'll just settle with their surnames, on the left Chin, on the right Lim. Hehe.
Posing with the dude, who was so stressed up that he shaved his head after the trials last year.

So we talked about our past experiences in primary school. We mentioned lotsa names, but lotsa these names I couldn't recall. A sign of ageing huh? Anyway, it's really funny when we recall those memories. How we did our best in our studies, yet always vulnerable to caning. Ouch. Out of us four, I'm the only bachelor I think. Like Ah Liang, I won't answer when someone asks "when's your turn?" =P

Not long after reaching home, I went to Y Leong's place with ccj and p mun. When I reached home for dinner I was so tired, I think it affected my appetite....

Who else juggles between two blogs like I do?
I'm a mad ass.

Christianity: Is that all?

You google or wiki the name Joel Osteen. Check out his profile and his webpage. Listen to what he says, audio or video.

For me, I couldn't 'buy' into his kind of christianity. I'm not gonna tell why, all I can say is that I couldn't find what I'm looking for. To certain people, it might work though, it's about perspectives. I can see that he is leading a large congregation, and people do listen to his preachings. In the end, I think it's not about him, it's about how people live out their faith. Since people listen to him, why bother him? Of course, it will be good if he change his style of preaching which focuses on "the goodness of God rather than sin", and go deeper to talk about how we live our faith in this progressing world by facing up to reality.

I don't agree with the way how certain parties criticize him either. It's sad to see what people do to each other while "defending" what they "believe in". It's depressing. I scrolled down the comments column in youtube, and saw the way people bashing each other (regarding his sermons), and one comment read, "Thanks for posting this video and helping expose this fraud. That's the job of real Christians." Who are they, or who are we to say this?

After saying all this, the question is: Are these what christianity is all about? Sales? Bashing?

Think it's time to learn to engage, and seek what matters most.

Chinese New Year is here, but I couldn't feel the fullness of the atmosphere. It's not about the ang pows. Neither izzit about the food. Both are nice. Maybe it's me coping with growth. But this sounds more like an excuse to me. One thing about me is that I'm not close with my relatives. Ask me about their names and tell ten things about them, I think I can hardly complete the task. I just don't know how to relate to my cousins, somehow. I couldn't speak nor understand proper hakka. So when my dad and the rest of my cousins are chatting, I'm very out of place. My little brother don't have such worries coz he has company (my cousin's son, who understands cantonese), and all he cared about was play. Haha. Of course, my cousins they too speak cantonese, but I don't know what to talk to them. That's me. That's my family. I just couldn't connect. Anyway, despite the disconnectedness, there's something to cheer about: the appreciation of traditional family values. Reunions mean a lot to different people. It's a time to catch up, a time to cherish the common things between us. How I wish my grandparents are still around. Maybe I get to listen to some words of encouragement and words of wisdom from them...

Move on. C'mon...I can do this. Haha. Look what I've done. This is really some kinda laughing stock. -.-"

02-07-2008 00:00:00 at McD's

Finally got to meet up with Sen Loong after almost two years and numerous "unavailability-to-meet-up-with-each-other". It was cool. I can see that he's cool and still very healthy. LOL. After he and his bro left, Vincent they all went for a game of pool... Jian Yao, Jas and myself decided to stay at McD and chat while Nick has to go out for awhile. So we were talking about all this funny and juicy stuff...and drinking a lot of coke(too bad...no rum). So we were talking and talking and we realised it's already 3am..but we didn't care and just continued our conversation. Then reached home at almost 4...good thing I don't have to wake up early...

So, once again thanks and happy CNY to Nick, Jas, Sen Loong, K Fai, Theresa, Vincent, Jacky, J Yao and Steven (rite?)... =)

My long lost twin haha...Same birth date
Say cheese!

Just had my reunion dinner.
The food is nice.
But I think my taste buds are very wrong.
...Or izzit just some psychological effect?
"Mom, why isn't the chili hot?"
"The chicken is so bitter!"
"The soup taste like water."
LOL. What the heck.

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Tuesday, February 5, 2008

Finally got a new pair of shoes.
Looks simple, but love it lots.
Old school? Probably.
Yay.
I think I'm happy...for the moment being, yea.

Kisses

Kisses.
Good for your mouth and also your brain.
Yum.

Just came back from a game of football somewhere near Taman Golf, with Y-han, Yang, Char Siew, Herng, Ryan, Lek, Yoon, Loke and J Yeong. It was damn tiring. Obviously all of us have lost our stamina. Our shot accuracy was like shit. LOL...and I think I injured my left thigh... Later went for breakfast...and the plate of Hakka mee actually cost me almost 7 bucks!! What the heck...
"Whoa, damn tired...."
The two arses that ran non stop during the game haha
My boots...
The messed up and tired, worn out look....
"Wazzup?"
"Yummy..."

Day 1

Usually I will put my phone on silent mode 24/7. But I didn't do that yesterday. My phone rang while I was sleeping. 3:30 in the morning and I was messaging. I don't know what to say but I think I'm feeling clueless. Anyway, I went back to sleep at 4:30am after sending my last message.

Then gotta wake up at 8 to have breakfast with Jin. I was a bit late. I was happy to see Kah Weng, S Ming and John during breakfast. We ate and talked for awhile and later went to the stadium for badminton. And there you go, I saw my former classmates in secondary school. I didn't expect to see so many of them there. It was like a reunion of some sorts. It was fun. Actually I don't wanna play, just wanna be a spectator, but in the end I got talked into it. At least I got to do something and it helps a lot. When I reached home around 1:30pm, I fell asleep straight away. Being tired is good. Don't have to think so much.

When I woke up at 4 I found out that my dad actually bought a new LCD TV, a DVD player, a new fridge and also a clothes dryer. Wow. It happened so suddenly. Anyway, the whole day I'm staring at my phone and it's staring at me. No calls, no messages, nothing. Maybe you're right. "Live without expectations." But that sentence doesn't sound right. *Sigh*

*This post doesn't sound like me, really. Deviated from my usual style of writing. Uninspired. Dull. Lifeless.

EMO 4.0

Time to move on.
Another failure in the beta testing stage.
My softwares, they always fail me.
When do I get to release the real thing?
Gotta check what's wrong. Argh.
Have to buck up on my R & D.

And about my part 2...gotta delay it again.
Now what I need is a nice break.
My mind is empty, couldn't think properly now.
Of course, I'm still sober, but if I'm gonna produce something out of this, I think the product won't even pass the alpha testing stage.
Gimme some more time. I need peace of mind.

Sunday, February 3, 2008

Comfort. Console. Cheer up. Calm. Support.
Need some.

Took me almost two hours to finish this large ice-blended mocha.
Think I'm not gonna be able to fall asleep tonight.
And now I can't stop going to the loo...

Chained.

Adios

Time to say goodbye.
Enjoy Aussie.

Michael Buble - "Lost"

My facial expressions are frozen.
Down. Dreamy eyed. Probably a bit teary too.
Anyway...Mogan and Sen Loong are back...So I get a chance to really catch up with them after such a long time...

The week seemed to be passing by slowly.
But, now it has ended.
Guess I've done a complete circle.
Time for something fresh.
So tired now....

Saturday, February 2, 2008

Ignorance is bliss.

Friday, February 1, 2008

Played futsal again just now. Should've rested. Haha. Now my legs are really really painful...and I think it's worse. LOL =X
