Another week closer to the trials....30 days to the 1st paper. We'll be having our General Paper test on the first day after the school holidays...while we will have the rest of the papers in mid-September. Updates? Nothing really...still progressing fine...it's just that these past two weeks have been a bit tiring. Yesterday, my team finished as the 2nd runners up in the closed football tournament organized by the football club. Throughout the tournament we only scored 3 goals: once in the group stage, another one in the quarters and the last one in yesterdays 3rd-4th placing playoff. What "achievement"! Anyway this is definitely my last chance of taking part in any competition in school, so I'm kinda proud to be given this chance to claim something... At first I didn't wanna join this thingy but then I got talked into this...hehe...by some form 4 friends...so there you go...3rd place. Phew. =P

Found this song on my playlist...and I put it here so you guys may have a look at it. Well here are the lyrics as well. Enjoy!

"Joan Osborne - One of us "
If God had a name what would it be?
And would you call it to his face?
If you were faced with him
In all his glory
What would you ask if you had just one question?

And yeah, yeah, God he is great
Yeah, yeah, God he is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home

If God had a face what would it look like?
And would you wanna to see
If seeing meant that
you would have to believe
in things like heaven and in Jesus and the saints
and all the prophets

And yeah, yeah, God he is great
Yeah, yeah, God he is good
Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us
Just a stranger on the bus
Trying to make his way home

Trying to make his way home
Back up to heaven all alone
Nobody calling on the phone
except the Pope maybe in Rome

Good bad day, or bad good day?

A new day, a new challenge. Well, finally I had my Tennis Club annual general meeting today and we've elected a new batch of committees. Really feels good, after a year in charge of the club. Now I'm no longer the President, no power, no nothing... =) No more burdens. Of course, some of us still have some unfinished business with the teacher advisor: he has put some documents on hold and we have yet to reach any agreement to put an end to this issue. It concerns our co curricular marks so it is a pretty important document to most of us. I really had a tough time dealing with the teacher honestly... =( Anyway, my term as the president had never been easy, so overall I feel happy that I can finally let go of it. I'm sure my parents would feel the same way as I did. No more trainings and meetings, so I can focus on my studies...What a relief, baby... After the meeting I had my lunch and went for my math tuition. That's basically the good thing that happened today...

The next thing I know was....

.....I injured my leg while I was crossing the road back to my dad's office from the tuition center...*crap!* It looks bad but it doesn't feel as bad: There's this metal-hole-kinda-thingy on the divider covered by grass...and I didn't notice that there's something is there and my left leg went in for like 15 to 20 cm. Doesn't hurt much, really and I thought it's a minor bruise. After I finished crossing the and was walking up the stairs to my dad's workplace, suddenly I saw blood on my pants. So, I rolled up my pants a lil' and I was shocked. SHOCKED, not AFRAID or SCARED, honestly, because I couldn't feel anything. It feels as though I was kicked by a 3 year old toddler, but the result of that little pain doesn't at all match the real scenario. Haha. Anyway, later I got my wound cleaned at a nearby clinic got home. I don't usually have injuries like this...so it's pretty much of a rare thing. Probably, this is the "worst" injury that I had in 10 years. I think I injured my knee "pretty badly" in standard 3. And it's only skin dip. Hahaha. How..errr...fortunate am I! Anyway, I'm having a problem with this wound...and I'm still waiting for it to finish clotting..somehow it's very slow....Just hope I'm fine...thank goodness I didn't fall down on the divider or else something unimaginable would have happened to me... =) One thing for sure is that the 12th of July 2007 is gonna be a day that will be etched in my memory for quite some time...

The climatic conditions are getting worse, it's a bit hazy here and the air is polluted, and it's like getting warmer everyday: even with the air-conditioner turned on, I still sweat. Social security does not get any better, look at how the UK had to raise it's alert level to critical (it has been lowered to "severe"). How can this world be a better place for us to live in? Anyway, tomorrow is 7.7.07 and there's gonna be Live Earth concerts across 7 continents to give cause to global warming. So gonna watch it live on TV. I just wonder how much can we do besides having concerts as such to raise awareness among us earthlings to handle this issue... Do support the efforts by Save Our Selves (SOS), a group of activists organized to raise awareness of global climate change, in their campaign to succeed in this concert... For more info, visit http://www.liveearth.org/who_we_are.php.

Currently I'm preparing for my trial exams and hoping for something good, despite the uncertainty of what is going to happen in these few months, including my consideration of my future study place. I'll be having weekly updates of the progress of my preparation in the coming weeks....I guess. Peace.
