I'm no longer in the top 8 (to find out what is it about, read my previous posts). Haha. Expected it anyway. People balik rumah practice their PS3 and foosball. Lol. >.<
Watching this made me smile =)
AIG even used this clip as a commercial. "Laughing can add 8 years to your life. So live longer, retire stronger. Never outlive your money." Talk about marketing strategy, AIG is really good at it.
Went for the Euro 08 roadshow, and all I got was this Castrol keychain =P
After badminton with Lobak, Khor and Japan, went home for a shower and went out to have a drink with Kian Hin and Addie. Later myself and Addie went and registered for the IELTS course. Remind me man, I owe you some cash now.
When I finally reached home, suddenly saw Jo ee online and so we decided to go for the EURO 2008 thingy in Jusco at 8. The registration was free, so we took part in all four of the mini games that they'd organized - a 2 on 2 cage match, a virtual penalty shootout, Winning Eleven on PS3 and foosball. We won our cage match. Then I scored all three on the penalty shootout, but there was a technical glitch, and only two of my goals were counted... Went on to win the PS3 match and also foosball (Jo ee scored two own goals I think... hehe...)
The cage. Myself and Jo ee won our match 7-2. Hehe. I scored all goals? Can't remember. But the first goal was fun. After the opening whistle was blown, I got my first goal within a second. Apparently the opponents were having this gap in between them just enough for me to shoot the ball straight into the goal. Lol. Imagine their surprised look. =P
Finally I can be proud of my Winning Eleven skills. Pitted against the computer and won 2-0.
....and I ended up being in the top 8 also! *damn bannga*Later, we went for a drink at McD's with Guo Jian and Teik Tzuan also. We talked till 1am... some random thoughts and talked about our school days... It was quite nice ;) At least I didn't feel out of place... I forgot to tell you guys that I was having a cramp after the Euro 2008 football thingy... then Jo ee gotta help me with my leg. Haha, so funny man... Had a chat with Onn also while he was working. "Welcome!". Sweat -.-".

What happens when you face the Riddler and Batman couldn't help you at all...
The Riddler had just attacked me *Lol* and I couldn't solve the puzzles in my head...I really wanna do pharmacy, and really excited about it, but my dad keeps pressuring me to do medicine, and I don't like being pressured. Usually I'll end up showing my hostility. So what to do? He always shakes my confidence with his comments, and never seem to understand what I'm trying to tell him.
If I become a doctor one day and regret about it, who should I blame? At least if I regret being a pharmacist I can blame myself for making such a choice.
But I have to look at this way also: prospects of pharmacists don't look so well in Malaysia. It's either I work in other countries with an internationally recognized degree (which is in my mind now) or I study postgraduate and be a lecturer whatsoever.
A doctor's life is not what I long for also. I always tell my friends that I "don't have the passion" to become a doctor. Have to work so hard to get back the money paid in getting my degree, and the only way to do that is to specialize, where the earliest possible time would be at the age of 30, when I do my specialist course after working 5 years for the government. It's not a guarantee that you'll get your MBBS smoothly, especially in IMU. Imagine me doing the twinning programme in IMU. It's gonna be sh*t IF I missed out on papers and gotta retake them. Will end up spending more money and graduate later than the rest of the people. And talk about serving the government, the first few years will definitely be sh*t, for example have to work 36 hours non-stop and then early in the morning still gotta go to the hospital. WTH man...
I should just think properly before making up my mind. I definitely don't like being trapped in this kinda situation.
I'd better make up my mind or I'll be like Captain America... dead... not in the hands of a sniper, but in the hands of the Riddler...

Futsal
We all didn't play so well, really, but in the end I think we won by one or two goals. Our opponents were really rough. It was 6 on 6, so we all lack space to run, and it was a problem especially for me, because usually I prefer speed to skills. The passings weren't that good either. Haha, the size of my shoe was a bit big, I couldn't control the ball when I shoot, so most of my shots were low balls. Anyway I scored two goals through long shots *proud*. =)
Matt Redman - I Offer Up My Life
Pouring out the oil of love as my worship to You
In surrender I must give my every part
Lord receive the sacrifice of a broken heart
Chorus:
Jesus, what can I give
What can I bring
To so faithful a friend
To so loving a king
Savior, what can be said
What can be sung
As a praise of Your name
For the things You have done
Oh my words could not tell
Not even in part
Of the debt of love that is owed
By this thankful heart
You deserve my every breath for You've paid the great cost
Giving up Your life to death, even death on a cross
You took all my shame away, there defeated my sin
Opened up the gates of Heaven, and have beckoned me in
Jesus, what can I give
What can I bring
To so faithful a friend
To so loving a king
Savior, what can be said
What can be sung
As a praise of Your name
For the things You have done
Jesus, what can I give
What can I bring
To so faithful a friend
To so loving a king
Savior, what can be said
What can be sung
As a praise of Your name
For the things You have done
Oh my words could not tell
Not even in part
Of the debt of love that is owed
Of the debt of love that is owed
Of the debt of love that is owed
By this thankful heart
(this thankful heart)
(this thankful heart)
What can I give
What can I bring
What can I sing as an offering, Lord
(What can I give
What can I give to You, to You)
What can I give
What can I bring
What can I sing as an offering, Lord

As I listen to Matt Redman's songs now and ponder upon their meanings, I thank God for his guidance all these years. Listening to his songs reminds me of my days in cgbc and there's one part of those days that I want to erase, the part where sincerity was not fully appreciated. It makes me sad that it ended that way. But I think it is courage that make us continue walking, picking ourselves up from where things went wrong. Thank God for Liang Hin, Addie, Kian Hin and Aunty Lindy especially for their care all these while, and of course thank God to all our friends, who have been sincere in their simplicity to walk this path with us, including Gavin, Chun Fai, Justin, Jian Yao, Joash, Alicia, Sara, Wei Shin, Yuki, Jasper, the Samuels, and many many more of them (sorry if I didn't mention your name here...it's 4am and I'm way too sleepy to recall stuff...). You guys sure are great, and I'm indeed humbled by the way you all try to make sense of this journey to seek the Truth. Shalom.

The day (weeks) all things went wrong for Arsene and Arsenal
Adebayor - the new Samson. He hasn't scored any premier league goals since his haircut and since then, Arsenal drew four league matches in a row and has now lost to Chelsea in such a big game. Maybe he should have kept his hair long instead. Now he has lost his flair in front of goal and Arsenal had let slip a good lead in the premier league standings.
Drogba - Chelsea's saviour of the day. I was happy when he scored the equalizing goal but he went further to score the winning goal. What the heck. Now Manchested United has another contender in the premier league. If the referee had sent him off for taking off his shirt (the most he'll get a yellow card, which he did...) during celebration, probably Arsenal wouldn't have lost the game. Woe to Drogba.Sunday, March 23, 2008
Manchester United vs Liverpool
The final score in Old Trafford: Manchester United 3 Liverpool 0. What about that?Wes Brown beat the odds to score the first goal at the 35th minute. Moments after that, Mascherano received his second yellow card and was sent off.
Manchester United controlled most of the game after that, although for awhile during the second half, it seemed as though Liverpool were bouncing back with some back-to-back attacks. However, Cristiano Ronaldo's 79th minute header from a Nani corner-kick put Man Utd in a comfortable position and Nani slotted in the third goal later to kill the opponents off, sealing Manchester United's 23rd league victory of the season.
With this win, Manchester United are now six points ahead of Arsenal for the moment being. We'll see how Arsenal fare against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge when the match kicks off in a while.
That rainy day...
Forgot to mention that during that afternoon I played badminton with Addie, Cat and her friend Eve... But Addie sat out because he was having a flu, so it's 2 against 1... The rest the events in that week I've forgotten, only remembering the moments before and after I got my results... Sigh.

Slowhands and Slowhands Jr. - Broken Hearted
Beautiful song written by Eric Clapton and performed unplugged together with John Mayer. Like this song very much and trying to learn it too. Another song by Clapton I'm currently obsessed about is Blue Eyes Blue. Another superb acoustic piece.

God of War
This is what I'm up to these few days...Playing God of War on PS2, which is about Kratos, on a kill-kill-kill mission...Muahahaha, I'm getting evil after bashing up countless monsters on easy mode. LOL. Something was wrong with the CD and I got stuck outside the gates of Pandora. Now that I've already entered the gates, it's time to...do what I must to complete the game. But I've watched a lot of spoilers, and know how the game ends...and thus reducing the syok-factor...Sunday, March 16, 2008

I don't know what to say about my results. But B- for maths is really disappointing...*sigh*Anyway, congrats to those who got straight A's, especially my peeps Onn, Sue, Winnie and Eugene. You guys rock for achieving 4.0.
For the rest of the dudes, don't dwell upon the results for too long, and continue to work harder to achieve your lifelong dreams. Peace.

Now I'm watching the replay of the Manchester United and Portsmouth FA cup game last weekend and I have to say that the refereeing really pisses me off. Manchester United were controlling the game with so many chances, yet none of the chances were converted to goals. Things became worse when Kuszczak was sent off and Rio Ferdinand was made the keeper, to face Muntari's penalty kick, which he eventually scored, although Ferdinand dived to the correct side, to give the the only goal in the game to the visitors which led to Portsmouth's qualification for the FA cup semi-finals. Back luck for the red devils in Old Trafford. Now both Ferguson and Queiroz might even face charges from the FA for their comments about the match referee...
Now it's gonna be the first FA cup semi-finals since 1975 without the presence of the Big Six - Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton and also Tottenham.

Malaysian stocks are falling after the election, which is a predictable scenario after the results of the polls surfaced. The Ringgit also fell from 3.166 to 3.2075 per USD. Hopefully the stock market won't be hit too badly or soon price hikes will be among the things that we are going to hear about...

The day after...
The results of the general election has pretty much been finalized with the National Front claiming a simple majority for the parliamentary seats, which is enough for the formation of a government. However, the opposition has successfully denied them a 2/3 majority in the parliament, and also they were able to gain another 4 more more states from the National Front, namely Perak, Kedah, Penang and Selangor while Kelantan too will remain under the ruling of PAS, despite the promises of the National Front to claim it from the hands of the opposition. Some of the big guns who have lost in this election includes Mr Samy Vellu, who is the longest serving member of the Cabinet and former Penang Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr. Koh Tsu Koon. Meanwhile DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng has won both the state and parliamentary seats he is contesting in, and will be sworn in as the new Penang Chief Minister on Tuesday.
The voters are sending an obvious message which questions the credibility of the previous government. The people have now spoken. So what's gonna happen next? Like Mr. Anwar said, this is definitely a new dawn for Malaysia. We can only hope for the best for our nation as we usher in a new era of governance. This is indeed a day worth remembering. While some might be mourning the 'defeat' of the National Front alliance, I just can't help but to rejoice with the people who continually hoped for a better Malaysia. Long live democracy. Long live Malaysia.

The 5th of March
We played Need for Speed too this time. Couldn't recall anything about that. I checked out his facebook stuff (finally...) hehe =) Later we watched Manchester United's match against Lyon. Ronaldo scored the only goal of the match. The rest of the game is not worth watching. We should have slept instead. Then Arsenal, they actually beat AC Milan in San Siro. WTH... Now I doubt Ancelotti's survival in the club. We get to sleep at 6 and actually we're supposed to have breakfast at Foh San with Ah Liang at 7. Couldn't wake up. So we changed it to 8 o clock.
After breakfast Addie's dropped me at his home while he went for a meeting. So I played my Gran Turismo. When he came back we played Winning Eleven again. 3-5-2 again. This time I get to win. Now he's bengang. Lol. Then we asked Jian Yao out for lunch and after that we were back at Addie's place. While he prepared for his PMC interview, Jian Yao and I were playing Need for Speed. Cool. "How many races did you lose man?" Haha =P
The birthday boy (man?). Happy 19th birthday!
Monkeys posing in front of the camera
Censored. Lol
After reaching home at 2, I just couldn't help it but go to bed straight away because I only got to sleep for an hour the previous day, all thanks to the boring Champions League match...Tuesday, March 4, 2008
Monday, March 3, 2008

My worth.Never hit the floor with your racket. lol. It's like Eduardo's injury, just that it's not human...The same day I played mahjong for the first time at Sara's place. Got to 'win' a few rounds =). Before that, Addie and I played her Nintendo Wii. The gameplay was funny as expected. I really sucked in FIFA 08 on Wii. I lost all the matches, most of them through penalty shoot-outs. Cool experience.
One bottle cap missing. On Saturday, I woke up at 10 o clock and expected Addie's phone call because the previous night he mentioned about going out for breakfast. Nothing. Went for a shower first and got ready. Still nothing. Around 1 pm, my phone rang. *Addie Lee* He just woke up when he called. Okay, then we had our own lunch and he came to my place around 2.30pm and we played Winning Eleven. After trashing each other for an hour, we went to Jusco. Walked around. Later we had claypot chicken rice at K Ten (yup this place is famous for it's claypot rice). Ah Liang joined us soon after. Later Addie asked me to go to his place. Reluctant at first but in the end went also. Before going to his place I went home to have my dinner (I thought the claypot rice was my dinner??).
At Addie's place, we played Winning Eleven AGAIN! My goodness I got trashed like mad. Ish. Pointless gaming. Then we tried two rounds of Need for Speed after Ah Liang arrived. Watched Manchester United's game against Fulham after that. Hargreaves free kick was great. Ji Sung scored too... At the same time, we played cards also. During half-time, Ah Liang and I gotta leave. Another day gone. I get to sleep earlier too. =) No time for me to emo.
Sunday morning, as usual, I went for mass. After that, had breakfast with Ah Liang, Addie, Kian Hin, Yen Leng and Jyao. An hour late. Supposed to have breakfast with Sara. She said she couldn't make it. Haha. Bengang. Went to Greentown mall to checked out some phones and later we all had lunch together. It's 2 o clock. I'm a super-tired already by that time. Frail young man, how ironic. Time to rest. Hehe. But I've never felt better. XD At least I have things to get me occupied.
Saturday, March 1, 2008
And by the way, I should sleep now because I need it. Yesterday I slept after 4 and woke up early for badminton. Had a one hour nap in the afternoon and went out with Sara and Addie till just now. Tired tired... and Addie said wanna have breakfast tomorrow...-.-"
